Extras that give you peace of mind and flexibility:
1. Bring this tiny voltage detector close to a wire: a beep and a blink tell you the fence is active. However, you’ll still need to check for any voltage drop from a line touching grass, a branch or a pole. Keep the tension up, and water your ground stake. We illustrate this here.
2. The cables let you connect your Bear Sentry to the terminals of a vehicle battery, or 12V LiFeP04 battery like those we list for you here.
3. Use the transformer to set up at home. But it’s not water proof, and neither is the energizer. So take extra measures to shield them from the rain if you want to secure seasonal attractants, like a bird feeder. For continuous use (ex. around a chicken coup or apiary) we recommend a waterproof transformer that can handle exposure.
